Skills you will learn on your first Maui Scuba Dive

Learning the basics of scuba diving is a piece of cake.  The introduction to scuba diving course doesn’t require any previous experience. Under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional you’ll learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive.

Get ready to:

    • Go over the scuba equipment you use to dive and how to use it while swimming underwater.

    • Learn key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive.
    • Have fun swimming around and exploring Maui’s pristine coral reefs.
    • Encounter turtles and countless other tropical fish.

When you arrive at the shop your instructor will greet you and give you a liability and medical form, a little bit to read about diving, and a short quiz.  You’ll go over all the material together and brief about the basic skills you will do in the water before the dive. Then you’ll head to the dive site and go down to practice clearing your mask and recovering your regulator with your instructor. Once you feel confident, you and your instructor will continue on and go for a dive.

Best dive ever. Nine divers, 4 staff, two in the water, means better service than a 5 star restuarant. Courteous, competent, friendly.
