We are proud to use Aqualung gear in our rental fleet for boat and shore diving. All of our rental equipment is current and top of the line so you can feel comfortable and safe. We sanitize each item after use in accordance with COVID protocols.
All of our BCDs are weight integrated and we have men’s and women’s options of all sizes. Our regulators are serviced regularly by a licensed technician. We also have dive computers, compasses, and torches available for rent.
The water can feel cold, even in Hawaii, so we have short and long wetsuits to keep you the right temperature. We also know that different people have different sized faces so we have different masks in our rental fleet so you can spend more time looking at turtles and less time clearing your mask.

All our gear rental is on a daily basis. Gear rentals are for certified divers who are diving with a certified buddy. We rent one set of gear per certification card.
Note: When returning gear please rinse with fresh water and remove all sand or we will charge a $50 cleaning fee.

Safety first
Diving is an extreme sport, as long as you take proper precaution it is extremely safe. The Dive Maui team always puts safety first when it comes to everything we do.
Dive Operations and COVID-19
In these times, we are taking extra measures to ensure the safety of our guests and stop the spread of COVID-19 at the shop and on the boat.
All of our rental gear is sanitized thoroughly between uses with cleaners known to kill COVID-19 so you can feel safe.
We ask you not to come inside or sign up for a dive if you have any COVID symptoms or have been in contact with someone who does. We have hand sanitizer available and the shop itself is sanitized daily.
All food served on our boat is individually portioned so as to avoid the spread of germs. We also provide all divers with a reusable water bottle that can be refilled by our throughout the boat trip.

You can bring your own snorkel gear to Maui, but remember to pack fins for more safety and enjoyment in the water. Always try on masks before buying to ensure proper fit and don’t forget to defog masks before each use. It is also important to store your mask in a protective case and keep it out of the sun when not in use.
Do I need a wetsuit to snorkel in Maui?
Wetsuits can help you float more easily and also offer protection from the sun. A rash guard is also a good option for snorkelers.
Do I need fins to snorkel in Maui?
Yes, fins are highly recommended for all snorkelers on Maui. The ocean is effected by the tides and currents and fins make it a lot easier and safer to swim around. The added power you get from a pair of fins is not to be overestimated.
