Today was my first dive with Dive Maui.  I chose dive Maui because their ratio is 7 students to one instructor while most places are 10 students per instructor. Joseph the ship captain was great and explained the dive plan, pointed out safety features and warned us about Possible rough Waters, which there were. I have to give an extra shout out to Chris - my diving instructor. He was very patient with me, especially during the first dive when I had a hard time going deeper. Then After I exited the water for the first time I got sick. He offered me Ginger Chews which really helped. I also told them that I wasn’t going to do the second Dive because I didn’t feel well. He said “Julia trust me. You’ll feel better after you get back in the water and I don’t want you to miss all the cool stuff on the second dive.” He was right! I definitely felt better on the second die and did see a lot of cool stuff. I got sick again on the second die, but the ginger chews helped me again. My husband and I had a wonderful time diving with Dive Maui. It was my first diving experience after getting certified, and I was put completely at ease by the awesome staff. Did the Mala Pier shore dive and loved seeing the turtle cleaning stations and even some sharks. Great experience with Dive Maui! Our guide Brian made everything easy from the start and made us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole dive. The Cathedrals dive was really special. Brian knew exactly where to take us to get the best views inside the formations, especially the spots where the sunlight comes through the openings and creates an incredible effect underwater, as well as the best places to spot marine life along the way. My wife and I dove with Dive Maui a few weeks ago and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. We brought our own gear, and the team took care of everything—rinsing and securely storing our equipment between dive days, which made multiple days of diving completely effortless. Diving the Lanai Cathedrals was fantastic; the topography and light beams were incredible, and the crew made sure we had a safe, relaxed, and memorable time in the water. Highly recommend Dive Maui to any divers visiting the island!
